Aussie Box Westringia

Botanical Name: Westringia hybrid ‘Ozbreed Aussie Box’
Family: Lamiaceae
Origin: Australian hybrid cultivar
Plant Type: Evergreen native shrub

Overview

‘Aussie Box’ is a compact, fine-textured native shrub bred as a low-maintenance alternative to traditional box hedging. Perfectly suited to Adelaide and South Australian gardens, it forms a dense, naturally rounded shape with soft grey-green foliage and minimal pruning needs.

Unlike true box, this tough Westringia thrives in heat, drought, wind and coastal conditions, making it ideal for formal hedging, borders and modern landscapes. Small pale mauve to white flowers appear mainly in spring, with occasional blooms through the year.
