Kingston Terrazzo Planter Pot

Material: Fibre-clay composite (magnesium chloride & fibreglass)
Finish: Terrazzo, in Blizzard, Granite, Nougat & Onyx
Range: Four colourways, three sizes plus a Set of 3
Best For: Entryway groups, clipped balls, olives & structured plantings
Use: Indoor & outdoor
Warranty: 12 months

Overview

A square pot with every corner rounded. The Kingston keeps the upright, formal proportions of a cube planter — as wide as it is tall in all three sizes — but curves the edges so it reads soft rather than severe. Fine terrazzo speckle across four neutral colourways.

Crafted from a fibre-clay composite — magnesium chloride reinforced with fibreglass — it is UV-stable and weatherproof, yet a fraction of the weight of cast concrete. A drainage plug is included, so you can plant directly or use it as a cache pot.

Choose Your Size

  • Small — 16 L: 27 × 27 × 27 cm. Opening 19 cm — fits a plant up to a 140 mm nursery pot. Around half a bag of potting mix to fill.
  • Medium — 43 L: 37 × 37 × 37 cm. Opening 28 cm — fits a plant up to a 200 mm nursery pot. Around 1–2 bags of potting mix to fill.
  • Large — 91 L: 47 × 47 × 47 cm. Opening 37 cm — fits a plant up to a 300 mm nursery pot. Around 3 bags of potting mix to fill.
  • Set of 3: One of each size, for a graduated group by a door or along a wall — and better value than buying the three separately. Around 5 bags of potting mix fills all three.

Choose by the opening rather than the litres: a cube holds more mix than its footprint suggests.

Sealing & Care

Fibre-clay is naturally porous, so it is worth brushing a pot and ornamental sealer around the inside of the pot before you plant. It forms a waterproof barrier that stops moisture and fertiliser salts wicking out through the wall — the cause of the pale tide marks and chalky white bloom you see on older pots — and it adds years to the life of the pot.

Sealers are water-based and brush on like paint; most hardware stores carry one. Coat the inside walls and the base, let it cure as directed, then plant as normal. It is worth the extra half hour on any pot going indoors, onto a deck, or onto paving where a damp ring would show — and together with the drainage plug supplied, it is what lets you use these inside without marking the floor.

Complete the Look

Pair your Kingston with a matching plant from our range and a bag or two of premium potting mix — check the size guide above for the plant size that fits and how much mix you'll need.

Why You'll Love It

Grouping pots well is harder than it looks, and buying them one at a time is how you end up with three that nearly match. Take the size you need now, or the Set of 3 and have the group already resolved.
