Botanical Name: Agonis flexuosa 'Burgundy'
Family: Myrtaceae

Overview

Agonis flexuosa ‘Burgundy’ is a graceful, compact peppermint tree selection with arching, weeping stems and burgundy-tinged new growth (tints deepen in cooler weather). The aromatic foliage releases a peppermint scent when brushed or crushed. Small white flowers appear in spring–early summer, attracting pollinators. Ideal for hedging, borders or a feature in SA gardens; thrives in full sun to part shade and well-drained soil, including coastal sites.
